Linda Colby lived in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester until 20 years of age when she left to teach school in Melbourne, Australia. Upon her return, she entered the business world in finance and human resources but ultimately came back to the teaching profession as a technology teacher at Leicester High School.
Linda attended Leicester High School and Anna Maria College. She went on to earn two master’s degrees: one from Clark University and the other from Framingham State University. Her educational experiences in art, finance, and technology have helped her undertake many volunteer activities in the Town of Leicester. When asked why she volunteers at Deja New, she said, “ I have a heart for service and want to use my skills and knowledge to help others.”
Linda currently lives in Leicester with her husband of 43 years, Wayne Colby. She has a son, Jared, who is married to Alanna Quinn-Broadus, both musicians in Nashville, TN
